Local 21 offers a Registered Apprenticeship Program approved by the U.S. Department of Labor, where apprentices learn mechanical insulation—including high- and low-temperature systems—fireproofing, lead/asbestos abatement, and specialty fabrication. Apprentices earn a living wage from Day One while receiving hands-on training under journeyman mentors and attending classroom instruction.
